Mr. Falcon’s contribution to our Province is enduring and impactful as he held multiple high level roles in the British Columbia government.
Mr. Falcon is a former Deputy Premier, Minister of Finance, Minister of Transportation and Minister of State for Deregulation.
Kevin Falcon led the BC Provincial Government 's successful effort to reduce unnecessary red tape by more than 40% in the BC Liberal government’s first mandate.
He then served six years as Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, overseeing the largest transportation capital program in BC history. Notably Mr. Falcon led efforts to build the $2B TransLink ‘s Canada Line; built the new 10-lane Port Mann and Pitt River bridges and the upgraded Sea-to-Sky Highway to name just a few.
During his time as Minister of Health he led initiatives to improve productivity in the public health care system, such as Patient Focused Funding, supply chain consolidation amongst Health Authorities and support for population based lifestyle and dietary changes.
As Minister of Finance, he worked closely to promote British Columbia’s financial strengths and helped successfully manage government finances amidst great global uncertainty.
Kevin Falcon is a recipient of King Charles III Coronation medal and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee medal for his significant contributions to British Columbia and Canada.
Prior to his public career, Falcon was Executive Vice President of Anthem Properties Group Ltd. and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University and his real estate education from the The University of British Columbia.
